Apple has been accused of exploiting the death of Whitney Houston by increasing the price of her albums on iTunes.

Fans of the late singer, who was found dead in Los Angeles yesterday (February 11) at the age of 48, spoke out after discovering that the cost of her back catalog had been put up since her passing.

So what. Every one else is doing the same. all these people at the Grammy Awards are doing the same thing, and even one of the Doobie Brothers was on fox this morning talking about the death of Whitney for about 20 secs and then another 3 minutes about his career and new venture.

Bobby Brown and many other people will be upping the prices on Whitney t-shirts, pics, cards or whatever they can cash in off her death.

Apple is doing nothing that any other company isn't doing are getting ready to do. Look at all the people that hocked everything in the MJ funeral and dvd's.

It's a business, and Whitney like MJ is a commodity on the market to make profits off of. They are still hocking merchandise off the death of Marylin Monroe, but I don't hear anyone complaining about that.

Apple doesn't set the prices, though -- how exactly is Apple evil for something her record label did?

Apple is evil in countless ways. Is it any wonder they get blamed for all the evil that happens on iTunes as well?

I'm just curious, but -- how do you spell hyperbole again?

I'm sure all the mass murderers and dictators of the world are pleased as punch that you're intent on watering down the meaning of the word "evil" though -- so, please: Do keep it up for their sake.

Do you work for Apple?

I can't imagine a private citizen carry so much water for that (evil) enterprise.

Is your day job "internet troll" and your usual assignment to hunt down articles like these and complain about the anti-Apple bias?

Weird.

As it turns out, Amazon is also evil.

I thought the whole point of posting content to an open forum was to invite discussion.

I definitely thought the whole point of posting content and hyperbole to an open forum was to invite discussion.

Maybe you're just here for the page views? Did you hope that you could hold and espouse extreme views without someone calling you out on it?

If you don't want that, why not turn comments off?

Maybe you think people are just supposed to agree with everything you say?

Yes, Amazon is also evil.

I may have linked an article or two to that effect. Between their shabby treatment of a business partner or two and their sweatshop working conditions (with poorly ventilated warehouses that swelter in the heat, where pregnant women have passed out from the heat, and they use software to monitor the speed of employees along the packaging lines), amazon is evil.

I think of these things every time I turn on my Kindle or iPod Touch.

But, so far. Apple is the only company that has sent an employee to visit my column here on Newsvine.

Apple is winning the contest for most evil between Amazon and Apple.

Yes, Amazon is also evil.

You continue to have a definition of "evil" that alludes rational thought.

I think of these things every time I turn on my Kindle or iPod Touch.

That's quite a sacrifice. I dub thee: Good.

No. I have a rather cliche definition of evil.

Sweatshops and monopolies - that sort of thing.
